Leadership
Founded by Keisuke Murayama
Towaka was founded by Keisuke Murayama, an inbound tourism specialist with nearly two decades of experience in Japan's international tourism landscape.
Alongside running Towaka, he contributes to national discussions on tourism policy in Japan, including overtourism prevention, tourism digitalisation, and sustainable destination development.
His work brings together travel design, destination management, and a long-term perspective on how Japan should be experienced and delivered.
Japan is layered. History, craft traditions, landscapes, and seasonality shape each destination differently.
Keisuke remains directly involved in project review and strategic planning.
